Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is like a little home and a bit of sanity after a long week away. The rooms, although out of the 80's, were super hot at times. The service at 01:15 and being moved to a room on a higher floor was welcoming and helpful, despite the budget accommodation feel. The location, although not as expected with misrepresented views, was perfect for our needs coming up for a family funeral. The dining experience, while very good and cheap enough for an overnight stay, lacked the expected canal view and left us wanting. Facilities were basic but sufficient.
The rooms were clean and warm, albeit on the small side for two people. The service was pleasant and helpful, though there was a booking mix-up and cleanliness issues. The location is convenient for accessing Wakefield center, but lacks the promised canal view. The dining options were varied but slightly overpriced. Overall, a decent stay with some room for improvement.
The hotel's room, although clean enough, was dated with tiles and paintwork that had seen better days. The strong smell of smoking was off-putting, and being separate from the main block without 24-hour reception was inconvenient. However, the location was quiet and easily accessible from the motorway, offering good parking in a nice environment.
